2024-1-DE02-KA220-ADU-000252954
The project “Find Your Roots and Spread Your Wings – Fempower” aims to promote gender equality and reduce the barriers women face in education, employment, and personal development. The project brings together body-based therapeutic approaches and cultural heritage to create a unique learning programme that strengthens self-awareness, self-confidence, and leadership skills. The activities focus on the practical application of knowledge, supporting women in developing the abilities needed to achieve their personal and professional goals.
Project Objectives
-
To promote gender equality and reduce the barriers that prevent women from active participation in society.
-
To develop an innovative training programme based on body-based therapeutic approaches and cultural heritage.
-
To strengthen self-awareness, self-confidence, and women’s ability to actively address life challenges.
-
To disseminate knowledge and practical tools that support women in creating meaningful change in their lives.
Through this project, we aim not only to strengthen women’s personal capacities, but also to create a positive impact on society by challenging attitudes towards gender equality and the role of women across different areas of life.
Women who found their wings

When Learning Never Ends
Get to know the stories of two sisters, Neringa and Gitana, and what has helped them not to be afraid of changing direction, how inner strength is shaped through experience, and why learning does not end with formal education. These are stories about working with people, about time as the most important teacher, and about decisions that shape not only a professional path, but also one’s relationship with oneself.
Their stories show how different paths can lead to the same direction – growth, courage, and the ability to discover one’s own wings.
When Service Becomes Identity
What does it mean to love Lithuania not through words, but through everyday choices?
What does it mean to be an officer, a mother, a community builder, and still remain true to yourself?
Elmyra Baljanaitė-Plater is an officer of the Lithuanian Armed Forces for whom service is not just a profession. This is a story about responsibility, inner strength, a woman’s place in history and today, and about a path that, two hundred years ago, women could not even have imagined.
